We are looking for pearls for Jesus.

Our Leadership

Texas native, the Rev. Jonette Gay, will pastor Pearl Street and Otterbein United Methodist churches.

Two United Methodist Churches in Lancaster City are sharing one new pastor.

Jonette Gay became the new pastor of Otterbein and Pearl Street United Methodist churches Jan. 1.

The two-point charge, as it's called in the United Methodist Church, means that Pastor Gay will preach at the Pearl Street church one Sunday a month and at Otterbein three or four Sundays a month.

A native of Buna, Texas, Pastor Gay graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas in 1985 and from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky in 1992. She was ordained an Elder in 1995 in Lubbock, Texas.

Pastor Gay has been a pastor since 1992 in Texas and New Mexico. She moved to the East Coast when asked by her bishop if she would be willing to travel to Lancaster to pastor a church.

Before coming to Lancaster, she lived in Philadelphia for a year in 2007 to study clinical pastoral education.
